When I landed in Mumbai on the 11th of March 2015, I craved to venture beyond its frontiers and dreamed to fill my luggage with stories from across cities. My longing to venture wider around the majestic continent grew beyond my desire to feel Mumbai and Pune. But my train journey ripped apart my preconceived desire and opened my heart to delve deeper into the culture and history of Mumbai and Pune.
I was astounded by all the marvels that connected these two cities.
The train journey revealed the splendors of towns and villages. The distinctive scent of Lonavla could be strongly felt. I was persuaded that heaven is irrefutably earthly and resolved to do justice with the quality of my travel, by exploring Mumbai and Pune fully – one city at a time. I chose depth over width.
I then walked to people in the train, build bonds and shared experiences.
